  Najnudel two-state ODE photocell · production default

  Replaces v1.0.1's constant-slope+log1p photocell with a two-state Port-Hamiltonian carrier ODE (Najnudel et al., DAFx-23 paper 50). CMake flag VX_OPTO_USE_PHOTOCELL_ODE flips OFF→ON as the production default; the v1.0.1 PhotocellGR path is retained as a compile-time rollback. Schematic-correct R_series=68kΩ, R_light=1500Ω; max physical GR ≈33.3 dB matches the operator-measured 32.8 dB on the captured 1966 unit. Behavioral fix: long-window crest direction now matches the unit (e.g. bass crest300 ascends — "body breathes up" between hits — instead of the v1.0.1 single-pole tail collapse). Also includes the OpticalDetector hold-latch fix from the v1.0.1 follow-up. Listen page (vocal / bass / guitar) re-rendered through v1.0.2; drums clips remain on the operator's matched-pair v1.0.0 render to preserve the ±1 dB pair-match invariant. Still v1.1 deferrals: vocal -4 dB QUIET asymmetry (V1B 1/gₘ output-impedance modulation) + HF harmonic content (V1B/V2B asymmetric grid-current clip + T2 Sowter volt-second integrator). macOS pkg live at /api/download/mentesh2a/macos?channel=beta.

  13-commit audit-driven rebuild of the DSP path. Adopts the LA-2A's actual feedback topology (post-GR sidechain tap with 1-sample delay safety) per Reiss / Self / UA service manual. Deletes the auto-makeup formula entirely (no auto-makeup exists in the unit), the stacked output gain, the COMP-mode SC PR-boost, and the cellEq HPF/low-shelf — every removal traced to a primary source. Adds log1p compression ceiling, 20ms attack-hold latch, lower 0.35 floor ratio. Asymmetry tightens 4.55→3.64 dB; vocal mean ΔRMS −3.80→−2.00. Loop-stability harness 8/8 PASS (Reiss/Self/Eichas step + sustained DC). Operator ear: drums + bass “massive improvement” on PR=25/75 and PR=50; vocal still the architectural soft area, Vocal-tuned input-cal preset is the documented workaround.
